Knowledge is Power, but the execution of knowledge builds success. Learn to apply what you learn by putting it into action, rather than to your memory where it may be relegated in your memory bank and deposited into lost storage. Execution trumps power. Execution overrides knowledge. Build your momentum. Shift your mindset.
Why are some people more successful than others? Why are they more accomplished, are thriving, not merely surviving, growing on many levels? The secret to their success is that successful people do things that other people do not wish to do. They look at finding creative ways to overcome obstacles, rather than consider them as problems. Successful people spend more time, look at solving solutions. While some may call it luck if you ask a successful person, they are most aptly to tell you that the harder they work the luckier they become. They have uncovered the simple truth that it’s not only working hard and spending time but doing things the right way. Do successful people make mistakes? That question is better put in this way, have you ever met a person who has never made a mistake? We all make mistakes, but it is how you respond to the challenges with your mistakes, that establish whether they are setbacks or failures. A tremendous amount of learning comes from our mistakes. Key is not making the exact mistake again. The old saying, “If at first, you do not succeed, try, try again.” For every setback or failure, there is an opportunity to come back and shine!
In life and in work, building a culture of trying and helping people not only with the tools they need to succeed, but the support they need is key. Successful people do not become a success on their own. None of us do. We are supported directly and or indirectly with support, which can come in a countless number of ways. Help build a culture around you that is filled with and supports wonder and imagination. Today’ s ideas are tomorrow’s products. When you help people believe in themselves and help them thrive everyone benefits. Empower yourself and your team with a simple word of YES! YES, we can make this happen! When you get your company culture right and everyone working on a positive mindset, things will naturally fall into place.
In your Leadership role, help people to understand that everyone plays a vital role in the success of your company or organization. Some may play a more visible or key role while others are more supportive, but those roles can and will change, just as they do in life. A good analogy is to think of your favorite television shows and the characters, some episodes focus more on one or several characters in one week, while in following subsequent weeks those actors and their characters who earlier were in supporting roles are now in more featured staring roles. Great Leaders understand that sometimes you Lead and sometimes you follow, allowing others on your team to be featured and share their knowledge to build everyone’s success which is the end goal.
To get where you want to be with success, you need not only knowledge you need, vision, purpose, and passion along with goals, action steps and a timeline for your success. Building your idea into success is not merely having an idea or knowing how to solve, a problem it is taking the steps forward, maybe not all at once or always giant leaps, but a steady pace, but key is always moving forward and taking time to evaluate along the way and make any modifications needed and necessary. Remember it’s not practicing or simply time that makes perfect, it is perfecting the practice and perfect practice repetitively that makes perfect, Build your skill set and keep a positive mindset. These can and will affect the outcome and make a difference in how much and what level of success you achieve.
Build your life as a shining success! Knowledge, attitude, and skillset are the first 3 steps up the ladder, the action you take beyond those determines how far up you will climb. It is up to YOU! Think and say, YES I can! If you believe you can do it, you can!
