The adventurer and entrepreneur Francois Guy Thivierge is one of the rare human beings to have climbed the 7 highest peaks of the 7 continents of the globe and to have reached the South Pole and the North Pole by ski! He is the pioneer of modern climbing and founder of the first climbing center in Quebec, Roc Gyms, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary in November. He is also the founder of the first climbing school L’ascensation. With Aventurex, he run the ice climbing at Montmorency Falls and Via Ferrata at 2 spectacular mountain adventure park in Québec.
He travels the World for 40 years to climb the most beautiful mountains. A speaker worthy of the greatest explorers and author of a best selling book, he has been awarded more distinctions including the prestigious medal of honor from the National Assembly of Quebec and the Samuel de Champlain medal offered during the celebrations of 400th of the city of Quebec to 100 personalities who have marked the history of the capital for 400 years! Today he still runs his 3 companies with a team of more than 30 employees with the same passion as when he started!
