Jessica Radetsky
Broadway Star and Cast Member – Phantom of the Opera
Founder of Broadway Hearts
Jessica currently performs, on Broadway, in The Phantom of the Opera. She has had a life-long passion of performance and dance and achieving one of her dreams of being on Broadway.
In 2016, Jessica founded “Broadway Heart’s“, a children’s hospital outreach and arts scholarship nonprofit organization based out of York City, made up of Broadway performers. Broadway Hearts is dedicated to bringing entertainment and brightness to the extraordinary kids in Children’s Hospitals around New York City. She feels honored to get to share music and joy with these inspiring children.
Born in Santa Cruz, California, Jessica studied ballet in the Bay Area with Ayako Takahashi, at the School of American Ballet and at the Kirov Academy in Washington, D.C., under Alla Sizova. She has performed with the Kirov Ballet, Kirov Opera Ballet, the San Francisco and Los Angeles Operas and has been a guest artist with ballet companies throughout the United States. In love with eras past, Radetsky also performs with the Canarsie Wobblers, a Jazz Age dance group, recreating dance styles from the 1920’s and 1930’s. They can be seen at Jazz Age events around the Northeast, including The Jazz Age Lawn Party on Governor’s Island.
In 2009, after losing her father to pancreatic cancer, Radetsky learned she was positive for the BRCA genetic mutation which predisposed her to a myriad of cancers, including pancreatic, ovarian and breast cancers. This knowledge, and the challenges that have come with it, have turned into a passion to help others navigate their way through the BRCA world, to advocate for quality of life for both survivors and previvors, and to help raise funds for genetic cancer research. Radetsky is involved with organizations including FORCE, Bright Pink, Discovery To Cure, Imerman Angels and The Basser Center.
